Our AI workshop, led by Magnus Høholt Kaspersen, was a deep dive into the world of artificial intelligence, aimed at providing practical insights for both students and educators. Whether you're new to AI or looking to expand your knowledge, Magnus' expertise guided participants through a journey of understanding and hands-on learning.
In this engaging session, Magnus explored the role of AI in modern education. He tackled the confusion around key concepts and focused on the most relevant aspects of AI for students at the Maskinmesterskolen. Attendees gained a better understanding of what AI truly is, the different types that exist, and how students and teachers are already using AI in their work. Magnus also provided valuable insights on how to effectively incorporate AI into teaching practices.
Workshop: Build Your First AI System This interactive workshop allowed participants to create their own AI system to recognize movements — even with no prior coding experience. Using a hands-on system designed by Magnus, attendees were able to dive into machine learning and walk away with a solid understanding of how AI systems are built, the challenges behind making them work, and the common pitfalls (like why systems such as ChatGPT often make mistakes and why it's nearly impossible to fix some of them). With tools like MicroBits, the workshop made the complexities of AI accessible to beginners and provided practical skills for those eager to build their own AI solutions.
