Iris Bakker Studio specializes in live portrait drawing - most notably “blind drawing,” where Iris draws without looking at the paper, focusing entirely on her subject. Her work bridges spontaneity, visual expression, and human connection, and has been featured at festivals, workshops, public spaces, and exhibitions across Denmark, the Netherlands, and Greenland

The challenge was that Iris’s existing website no longer reflected her artistic direction and visual identity. As a blind-drawing artist, her aesthetics revolve around expressive, intuitive lines and intimate human interaction. Her old site lacked this character and made it difficult for her to update content herself.
We built a new Webflow site tailored to Iris’s unique visual style - simple yet expressive, with elegant typography and clean layouts that reflect her hand‑drawn line work. The content structure highlights the immersive experience of blind drawing and her event-based work (portraits, workshops, murals). We ensured the site is fully editable so Iris can add new events, portfolio pieces, or stories herself - keeping her presence fresh and aligned with her evolving practice.
The redesigned site now visually and conceptually aligns with Iris’s artistry. It presents her interactive drawing process and offerings - blind drawing, glass murals, workshops, exhibitions - in a clear and engaging way. Iris can easily maintain and update the site, enabling her to document new events, feature testimonials, and respond to opportunities dynamically. The outcome is a site that truly embodies her aesthetic and facilitates connection with her audience.
